First Aid Training in Worcester, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Evesham, Tewkesbury and more
The first course of its kind aimed specifically at helping with mental health difficulties in young people.
Half of all mental health problems are established by the age of 14.
1 in 5 adolescents will experience a mental health problem in any given year.
1 in 10 children and young people (aged 5-16) have a diagnosable mental health problem.
Still think children have nothing to be stressed, anxious or depressed about?
A course for anyone but primarily aimed at anyone working with or responsible for children and teenagers.
Not helping them through it now is storing up much greater problems for the future but it’s also stopping them achieving their potential: that person might be the next Mozart, Nicholai Tesla, Marie Curie or Florence Nightingale
Regardless of what they might become, let’s do everything we can to help and alleviate their mental suffering right now.
Our courses are fully regulated and guided by leading frameworks.
What you’ll learn:
This 1-Day course covers the content of the Level 1 Mental Health course but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported for young people.
All courses now include a COVID-safe module which safeguards all of your First Aiders and makes them completely up to date with the latest guidance around coronavirus, how it spreads and how to reduce the risks to all involved.
It’s primarily aimed at anyone who works with or has responsibility for young people: parents, guardians and foster parents, teachers, cadet and scout leaders, youth group volunteers and so on.
However anyone who wants to get a bit more knowledge on the subject.
Not really no: it has the same basic course content and modules but with a youth angle: a lot more is done to explore the causes and effects of early and formative years on mental health, how to spot mental health problems among young people and the best way to approach them to try and help.
We’d be delighted to answer any other questions you might have, and get you booked on this course. Contact a member of our team today for more information.
